At the 2022 Bedford River Festival, the Council Events Team is looking for the best of the catering industry to ensure that visitors have a wide variety of choice and quality products to enjoy across the site. A key focus for 2022 is the reduction of single use plastics and non-recyclables. River Festival at Russell Park

Bedford Borough Council uses an online tendering process for catering, bar, confectionery and slush pitches. You can find out how to tender on our downloadable In-Tend guide and use our handy checklist to guide you through the process.


  • Read our Environmental Statement for Event Suppliers.
  • Register with the In-Tend portal .
  • Find the Invitation to Tender Project you wish to express an interest in.
  • Carefully read the contract specification and terms and conditions in the Invitation to Tender (ITT) Document.
  • Contact the Events Team via the Project Correspondence to arrange a site meeting if required, or for any other queries.
  • Complete and sign a copy of the ITT Document and submit via In-Tend.
  • Submit any other relevant documentation required for your tender submission (for example a method statement).

The 2022 River Festival will include countless river activities, eight live music and performance areas, the Sports Island, Pirate Island, the wonderful offerings of the Festival Market, plus so much more.

Make sure you keep the 23rd & 24th July 2022 free in your diaries so that you don’t miss out on any of the action.
