Castle Mound
New for 2022, Castle Mound will host the BBC Introducing Stage, giving local up-and-coming musicians another opportunity to be involved in the River Festival.
Also new for the River Festival will be the Green Earth Vegan Lounge located behind the Mound, which will be the place to go to find vegan goodies and homewares. There are also plenty of tasty vegan catering options here.
This area is also on the doorstep of The Higgins Bedford which will be hosting Heritage Bedford, Bedfordshire Libraries & Bedford Archives Services with some free family craft activities, trails and quizzes.
Castle Mound has long offered an excellent viewing spot for the various river activities taking place throughout the Festival weekend, including the racing and the illuminated boat parade on Saturday evening. Visitors can enjoy the catering options on offer or bring a picnic.
